Services

All consultations are one-on-one, so you’ll always have my full attention, whether I’m working with you directly or taking the time to understand and document your case in detail while you rest. I’m never moving between rooms or treating multiple patients at once.

This approach allows me to provide thoughtful, thorough care, especially where hands-on therapies are an important part of treatment.

Depending on your presentation and preferences, treatments may include acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, massage, exercise therapy, practical lifestyle guidance, and where appropriate, patent Chinese herbal formulas.

I’m a degree qualified practitioner, and consultations are eligible for private health fund rebates depending on your level of cover.

New Patients Welcome!

If you’re unsure where to begin, or it’s been a while since your last appointment, feel free to get in touch and I’ll happily help you choose the most appropriate consultation option.

  • Whether you are booking as a new or existing patient, please allow 60 minutes for your appointment. Standard treatments are a flat fee of $110.

Standard appointments are best suited for patients seeking support for one primary concern, or a focused area of treatment.

Each session includes time for check-in, assessment, and hands-on treatment tailored to how you are presenting on the day. Your care builds over time, with each session adjusted based on your progress and current needs.

At Living Thread Acupuncture, you are always part of the process, with space to discuss how you are feeling, ask questions, and share preferences throughout your care.

  • These appointments are designed for patients requiring additional time for multiple or more complex concerns.

A comprehensive assessment is completed at each visit, with treatment tailored to your individual presentation. The extended time allows for a broader evaluation and a more in-depth approach across multiple areas of concern where clinically appropriate.

As with all appointments, care is individualised and responsive, with time to discuss your priorities and adjust treatment based on how you are presenting on the day.

  • There is still space for comfort, presence, and care as life changes shape.

Charges and appointment time allocation depend on whether you select a Standard or Complex Care appointment.

    A PERSONAL PALLIATIVE APPROACH

This service offers supportive care for people living with a life-limiting or terminal diagnosis, as well as those who are in the later stages of life and seeking comfort-focused treatment.

Care is centred on comfort, dignity, and quality of life, and is adapted to each person’s individual needs, energy, and capacity on the day.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine may be used to support relaxation, ease tension, and promote a sense of calm and wellbeing alongside conventional medical and palliative care.

    WHAT THIS CARE MAY SUPPORT

    This may include support for:

    • Pain and physical discomfort

    • Fatigue and low energy

    • Sleep disturbance

    • Anxiety, fear, or emotional distress

    • Digestive changes and reduced appetite

    • Nervous system regulation and relaxation

Sessions are always adapted to what is appropriate and comfortable for the individual at the time of treatment.

    A SPACE FOR CARE

Just as importantly, sessions offer space to rest, talk, or simply be present without expectation. Care is guided by respect, dignity, and attentiveness to each person’s needs.

This service is available alongside medical and palliative care teams and is adjusted in line with clinical appropriateness at each visit.

If a patient is unable to travel, please contact the clinic directly to discuss whether alternative arrangements may be possible.
