Understanding Health Beyond Symptoms
My approach to healthcare has always been shaped by curiosity: understanding why people feel the way they do, what influences their health, and what support they need to move forward.
I began my career as a remedial massage therapist and yoga teacher, bringing more than a decade of experience working closely with people experiencing pain, injury, physical tension, and changes in how their bodies moved and functioned. Through this work, I came to understand that health challenges are rarely just physical. Sleep, stress, emotions, movement, nutrition, relationships, and daily demands all influence how we feel, recover, and adapt.
This understanding led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, a system of medicine that provides a framework for exploring the relationship between the body, mind, lifestyle, and environment.
My approach is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and informed by a deep respect for anatomy, physiology, and psycho-emotional health. I combine the hands-on skills developed through manual therapy with the broader perspective offered by Chinese medicine to support adults who want to take an active role in their health, whether navigating current concerns or working towards better health over time.
At Living Thread Acupuncture, I believe good care is built on understanding, collaboration, and respect for the individual.
